Bridget’s Bunnies thankful for support from local businesses

As many small businesses struggle to get by, Bridget’s Bunnies is thankful that three such businesses stepped up to ensure that 2020 ended on a high note for our organization.

For two weekends in December, The Vintage Pony, Jay’s Sticky Buns and Chocolate Bombastic teamed up for a pair of hot chocolate walks to raise money and awareness for pregnancy and infant loss. Over the two days, the restriction-adherent events raised $1,335

Kerry Howard – the owner of The Vintage Pony – said she and her husband were looking for a way to give back since moving to Barrie from the United Kingdom back in 2018. Howard said Bridget’s story struck a chord since they also suffered a similar loss.

“Losing our daughter McKenzie Rose was such an emotional part of our life 19 years ago,” said Howard. “Like Mat and Theresa, we wanted to help make sure other families were supported. Doing these events was a way to give back.”
