BRIDGET'S BUNNIES PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS FOUNDATION
******************************
In the lead up to the third annual Bridget’s Run, five-year-old Ethan celebrated his birthday and in lieu of gifts, he accepted donations for Bridget's Bunnies. He raised $200 from friends and family and presented the donation to Bridget’s Bunnies on Sept. 12.

Tina, Ethan’s mother, said the act of collecting donations instead of birthday presents started with her older son, whose friend was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Since then, the family has carried on the tradition of supporting charities that aim to help children and families.

“We figure that what others usually spend on a birthday gift for our children can be better used to help others in need,” said Tina. “It’s the perfect age to teach them that they can get just as much joy out of giving as they do receiving.”

The donation will ensure that a family coping with the loss of their child will get the support they need, something that Tina says was a tough but meaningful conversation to have with Ethan.
