Our Mission & History

Bridget’s Bunnies exists to ensure that no one has to endure pregnancy or infant loss alone. Rooted in love and remembrance, we offer support through Comfort Kits, Little Loss Libraries, and our annual community event, Bridget’s Run.

Where It All Began

On November 22, 2017, our beautiful baby girl, Bridget Bell Morrison, was born still, just one day shy of her due date. We were in shock and relied entirely on those around us for direction. None of the books we read or classes we took during pregnancy prepared us for saying goodbye.

After Bridget’s birth, we didn’t want to share the news. Our friends and family had been so eager to meet our little one. Her loss left of feeling isolated, like we were the only ones who had been through this. Just two weeks later, at our first peer-support group, surrounded by parents with similar experiences, something shifted. It was like a weight was lifting.

We knew then that we needed to reach other people who would follow us down this path and we needed to reach them immediately. We started Bridget’s Bunnies to validate the grief of families like ours and give them the tools to move forward, while honouring and remembering their little one throughout their life.

This is our way of parenting our little girl who didn’t get to stay.

What We Do

Our Comfort Kits are toolkits which help people navigate the early days of their grief, while our Little Loss Libraries provide discreet access to grief resources throughout the Simcoe Muskoka region. All of our supports are available at no cost to recipients thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and fundraisers.

Our Mission

Bridget's Bunnies' mission is to unite a community of support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.
