Bridget’s Run is an annual 1km/5km fun run/walk held in recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. The 8th Annual Bridget’s Run is taking place on Saturday, October 18th, 2025. This event supports Bridget's Bunnies' work to ensure no one endures pregnancy or infant loss alone.

Sponsorship Volunteer

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Bridget’s Run Committee as a Sponsorship Volunteer and play a crucial role in securing sponsorships that help us reach our fundraising goals for Bridget’s Run. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy building relationships, are results-driven, and are passionate about making a difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Identify, acquire, and secure local monetary sponsorships and in-kind donations

  • Visit local businesses when necessary to promote Bridget’s Run and share the Sponsorship package

  • Present sponsorship opportunities, including upsell or downgrade options when appropriate

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and returning sponsors

  • Participate in third-party fundraising events for Bridget’s Run when necessary

  • Follow up with sponsorship leads regularly and keep them engaged

  • Track and update all sponsorship requests and commitments

  • Answer sponsor-related inquiries about Bridget’s Run

  • Provide a positive experience for sponsors, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated

Hours: Volunteers are expected to attend regular virtual committee meetings every 3-4 weeks and dedicate additional time to fulfilling their agreed-upon sponsorship tasks.

Location: Remote/some local travel may be required

Marketing and Promotions Volunteer

If you have a passion for storytelling, community engagement, and spreading the word about an amazing cause, we’d love to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Research & Planning: Identify promotional opportunities and develop a strategic promotion schedule (ex, social media calendar).

  • Media Outreach: Build and maintain a comprehensive media contact list to expand our reach and assist with copywriting.

  • Content Creation: Develop and distribute media kits, press releases, and advertising materials, including a media kit for Bridget’s Run fundraisers.

  • Branding & Design: Oversee the layout and printing of promotional materials to ensure a cohesive look.

  • Event Promotion: Help drive awareness and participation through creative campaigns on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).

  • Post-Event Recognition: Coordinate thank-you messages for sponsors, media partners, and participants.

  • Audience Growth: Explore innovative ways to reach new participants and supporters.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Passionate about marketing, media, and community events.

  • Creative and innovative, always thinking of fresh ways to engage audiences.

  • Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a team and taking initiative when needed.

  • Experience in media relations, graphic design, or social media is a plus!

Events Ambassador Volunteer

Bridget’s Run is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to assist with special events leading up to the 2025 run. This role involves representing the Bridget’s Run and Bridget’s Bunnies brands at various community events throughout the Simcoe/Muskoka region.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Represent Bridget’s Run and Bridget’s Bunnies professionally and positively at community events.

  • Assist with event setup, engagement, and teardown at third-party fundraising events, street fairs, and other promotional activities.

  • Provide information about Bridget’s Run and Bridget’s Bunnies to the public and be comfortable speaking about Bridget’s Bunnies' mission and values.

  • Encourage community participation and fundraising efforts.

  • Work closely with event organizers and fellow volunteers to ensure a smooth event experience.

  • Transport promotional materials and event supplies to and from event locations.

Requirements:

  • Access to and use of a personal vehicle with valid insurance. (preferred)

  • Comfortable speaking with the public and engaging with event attendees.

  • Ability to lift and carry event materials as needed.

  • Availability to attend events in the Simcoe/Muskoka region leading up to Bridget’s Run.

  • Passion for supporting those affected by pregnancy or infant loss.
