Landmarks lighting up for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

 

Oct. 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.

 

Oct. 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, also known as Wave of Light, to remember and honour babies gone too soon and support bereaved families who have experienced a pregnancy loss.

In Ontario, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day was officially declared on Dec. 8, 2015, as part of Bill 141.

This year, Bridget’s Bunnies Pregnancy Foundation is spreading awareness across Simcoe-Muskoka and encouraging people to join them. Bridget’s Bunnies is raising flags in recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day at Barrie City Hall and in Collingwood at the Well Baby Clinic, and co-ordinating illuminations in Bracebridge, Collingwood, and Midland to help light up the night sky in recognition of Wave of Light.
